When it comes to fall, what candy comes to mind? Reese, Twix, KitKat and other popular treats are probably the first that come to mind, especially with Halloween at the end of the month. However you probably also know family and friends who have a big stash of candy corn in their homes this time of year. Since Froyo Gelato Supplies is the #1 source for Spoons and Cups of Ice Cream shops across the country, we decided share a fun and delicious recipe for candy corn ice cream.
Before we begin it’s important to note that this recipe comes from the blog “We Are Not Martha” and the link to the recipe and all of its instructions will be available at the end of this post.
Now, lets start with what we need for this ice cream:
3 cups heavy cream, divided
1 1/2 cups whole milk
3 cups candy corn, divided
As you can see, the recipe is pretty simple and their blog makes things even easier with instructions and photos. Essentially though you’ll mix some of the heavy cream and candy corn into a saucepan over heat until the candy corn is dissolved. Let it cool and then stir the remaining heavy cream and whole milk. Let it chill for at least 6 hours. Once chilled, you’ll want to pour the mixture into an ice cream machine. Next, process according to the machines instructions.
